Review highlights
Based on 35 reviewsCandy Store & Market Village is widely praised for its warm and accommodating hosts, creating a welcoming atmosphere for travelers and visitors alike. The establishment is appreciated for its charming coffee shop featuring an extensive selection of lollies, local products, and uniquely flavored milkshakes. Customers often highlight the friendly and attentive service, enhancing the overall experience. While the site serves as a convenient stopover with clean but somewhat outdated amenities, its peaceful, tree-lined setting and community feel are also well noted. Some feedback suggests limited lunch options, but the variety of jams, pickles, and desserts available adds to the venue’s appeal for both day visitors and overnight guests.
We were allowed to spend the night in the overflow parking lot. Unfortunately, it is close to the road and therefore very noisy. However, the host informed us about this when we booked. Very nice hosts. Super milk shake. The showers and toilets are a bit outdated but were clean.
Stopped to get some lunch on our way to Mundaring (try somewhere different). Sadly they didn't have any lunch options but we were distracted by the lollies they had to purchase. We were about to leave a d noticed their range of jams and pickles for sale. Got 1 jar of each. Will remember next time we are passing.
We were a group of 6 with 3 vans needing accommodation as we wanted to cycle the Pedal and Pint trail on the weekend. I found this place on the website and thought we’d give it a go. So glad we did. It is a fabulous little stop over. It is actually a residential park but have space for people travelling through or just need a night or 2 also. The owners of the park were so lovely and accommodating. They have an amazing little coffee shop/gift shop/ lolly shop with amazing locally made gifts and goods. I challenge anyone to walk out with nothing. They also have a great fire pit area for fire season. We, luckily, had the last weekend for it. There was heaps of wood so we cranked it up and many of the locals also sat around chatting with us. All very friendly with lots of stories to tell and some had great knowledge of the area. Although the temporary sites only have power, no water, there are also shower and toilet facilities. They are older but well maintained and very clean and functional. They also have a pen with lots of beautiful Guinea pigs. Also kept very clean and maintained. I couldn’t actually fault the place or the people. The one and ONLY drawback is it is right on Great Eastern Highway so there is quite a bit of traffic noise. Not anyone’s fault and can’t be helped. I would suggest earplugs if it affects you. We were fine with it. We would definitely go back and would also recommend it to others. Especially if they were wanting to do the bike trail.
I called in today, very well laid out gift shop with the biggest lolly selection I’ve ever seen! It has a lovely coffee shop. I had a pie, donut and delicious honeycomb milkshake (they had plenty more flavours than just the standard chocolate, banana and strawberry flavours). I was served by the owner and she was so friendly and her customer service was second to none. Will definitely be back!
A beautiful park with shady trees, yummy deserts and a great variety of locally made products. A gorgeous coffee shop and milkshakes for the kids, friendly service with a smile. Clean bathroom and laundry facilities and a friendly atmosphere amongst the residents that reside in the park.
Living here 5 years best landlord i have ever had and the people that work in the shop are friendly and professional. Drugs and abuse are not tolerated so only friendly people live in the park long term
